When Ted Law Firm set out to create its first-ever super bowl commercial, the stakes could not have been higher. Airing during the Super Bowl meant one thing: this was not just an introduction, it was a defining moment.

The goal was to position Ted Sink as the face of a “next generation” law firm in South Carolina. That required more than visibility. It required a concept that would immediately capture attention, feel different from traditional legal ads, and leave a lasting impression.

CHALLENGE

Super Bowl Sunday is the most competitive advertising stage of the year. Viewers are not just watching the game, they are expecting high-level entertainment from every commercial break.

For a law firm entering television for the first time, this created a unique challenge.

The legal industry is filled with predictable messaging. Phrases like “we fight for you” are everywhere, and most ads blend together. That approach would not work here.

This commercial needed to do three things at once:

Break through the noise of high-budget national campaigns

Introduce Ted Sink in a memorable and distinct way

Avoid the clichés that dominate legal advertising

At the core, the real challenge was simple: earn attention in a space where attention is extremely hard to win.

SOLUTION

To meet that challenge, we knew we had to push beyond conventional thinking.

We developed a fast-paced, visually engaging concept that combined unexpected moments with strong brand positioning. The commercial featured Ted Sink in a series of bold, memorable scenes, including a dramatic desk flip, a skeleton lawyer, and a client testimonial, all designed to keep viewers engaged from start to finish.

To execute this vision efficiently, we leveraged virtual production.

Using a 40 by 15 foot LED wall, we created multiple environments and visual settings without the need for multiple locations. This allowed us to produce a high-end, dynamic commercial while working within a tight timeline.

The entire ad was filmed in just one day.

This approach gave us creative flexibility, speed, and the ability to deliver a visually distinctive commercial that stood apart from traditional legal ads.
